Learn about microelectronics, nanotechnology and more!
- How are your iPod, cell phone and computer made?
- What's it like to work in a cleanroom?
- What are nanomaterials?
- How do things behave at the nanoscale?
A whole world that is TOO SMALL to see!
This is a free, one day camp on nanotechnology for middle and high school students. It will include both classroom and hands-on laboratory activities, in and out of the cleanroom.
Girls and Minority students are especially encouraged to apply.
See pictures from previous NanoCamps, in April and July 2008.
Application Process:
Step 1- Submit Application Form: online (preferred). If you cannot submit your application online, please print, fill and fax/mail this form
Step 2- Submit Parent Consent Form: print, complete and fax/mail this form
Applications will be complete once both steps have been completed. All applications received before the deadline will be considered equally.
Selection Process:
• The applicants will be selected based on their grade level (to ensure that we have an appropriate distribution of ages), their school disctrict and the short essay ("why do you want to attend the NanoCamp" - which should come from the student him/herself)
• A few days after the deadline, all applicants will be notified of their status (selected or on the waiting list) using the email address provided on the application form (please write/print clearly in black ink!)
• Selected applicants will be required to send a confirmation that they are indeed planning to attend the NanoCamp (please check your email often after the application deadline has passed)
