Deborah A. Swartz has had extensive years of experience during her career to date here at the University of Michigan, having completed over 30 years of service.   She transferred from another engineering department to service with Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department some time ago, and has worked with a number of professors here including Pallab Bhattacharya and former SSEL Director Professor Emeritis George I. Haddad, providing secretarial support to the professors as well as administrative support in their department director capacities.  

As a department staff member she has provided valuable research support to our researchers here at the Lurie Nanofabrication Laboratory (formerly Michigan Nanofabrication Laboratory) through the years.  The honors she has received during the course of her work here include notation as a past recipient of the College of Engineering Excellence in Staff Service Award (1998).  Currently Mrs. Swartz serves as the Office Manager for the Solid State Electronics Laboratory of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department.
