Background:    I completed my accounting degree at Eastern Michigan University in 1998.

I started with the University many years ago, working in many different departments on various temporary assignments.  I particularly enjoyed working with former regent Sarah Goddard Power while her regular secretary was on summer vacation for a few weeks (I later named my first daughter after her); while as a group I particularly appreciated the teamwork atmosphere of friendly efficiency at Rackham.  In other non-university jobs I previously worked at the actuarial and consulting firm, The Wyatt Company; and later with Laywer/Law School Professor Robert J. Harris (first at Harris & Lax, then at Harris, Guenzel, Meier & Nichols).

Currently  a staff member in the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department on the University of Michigan's North Campus which is a busy work site with many students-visitors-guests-faculty-staff.  I began my career at the Solid State Electronics Laboratory in August 2005, working with Professor Michael Flynn and Professor Dennis Sylvester.  Currently I serve as a Secretary Intermediate at the front desk, greeting people from around the world as they come to our offices for work, study, and cutting-edge research.  In our bustling engineering area there is a teamwork commitment and constant people interaction as the ongoing research evolves and progresses, and I enjoy working in an area of student contact.
