Annual Lab Closure December 8-12, 2008
We are looking at performing our yearly LNF lab closure commencing at 7AM on December 8th, and ending at 4PM on December 12th. This will allow us to address several facility type maintenance issues (scrubber clean up) that we've been limping along with, as well as to make some changes in existing facility support systems (PCW delivery) to address the addition of new tools. We will also be performing a variety of yearly cleans, and repairs, within the clean room itself. This shutdown will not only affect the main clean room, but also any lab within close proximity (all Wet Chemistry processing, 1427, 1428, 1428A, 1432, 1437) and support ties, to the clean room space. Please mark this week on your calendar. Additonal notices will be sent out in the coming weeks to finalize the times, and dates. As with any shutdown, if we can open earlier, we will send out a notice to that effect. As an adder to this lab shutdown, we will also be turning off the LN2 (liquid Nitrogen) to the entire facility to make some changes in our delivery system, and to perform some maintenance on the vacuum componets of the system. Lastly, as an adder to this this shutdown, the High Voltage Shop has scheduled a shutdown of substation 4 Electro Optics sub at ELECTRICAL ENG COMPUTER SCI BLDG – 448. This shutdown is to replace the transformer fan control unit and possibly the cooling fans. This will affect the following room 1600M, distribution panel 1, 2 and 3 and electrical operated mechanics MCC-A and power panel 1, Labs 1327, 1410, 1410A, 1411, 1412, 1416, 1417, 1427, and 1437. This electrical shutdown is scheduled for 12/9, and will take the entire day. Thank you. |
